Kannapolis Counseling Group
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism (autism spectrum disorder, ASD) are two conditions that can have a significant impact on an individual’s daily life. Both conditions can make it difficult for people to focus, communicate effectively, and interact with others, which can lead to feelings of frustration and isolation. However, with proper assessment and treatment, Autistic and/or ADHD adults can learn to manage their symptoms and lead fulfilling lives.
Assessing Symptoms: The First Step in Managing ADHD and Autism
One of the first steps in managing ADHD and Autism is to seek a proper assessment. A trained professional, such as a counselor, can help to identify the specific symptoms and challenges that an individual is facing.
This assessment process can include a variety of tools and techniques, such as interviews, questionnaires, and observations, to gather information about the individual’s behavior, cognition, and emotional well-being. These assessments are crucial in understanding and managing these conditions effectively within the North Carolina context.
Our licensed clinician specializes in adult neurodivergence and are highly qualified to guide you through this process. The assessment and screening services are specifically for adults (18+) who believe they may have ADHD or be autistic.
